Kia ora,
My name is Patrice Harman, I am a registered marriage and civil union celebrant.
My background is in the field of teaching which has provided me with the necessary skills in being a celebrant. My teaching career provides me opportunities where I can embrace the connections with tangata whenua of New Zealand as culture is another passion of mine. I believe culture brings identity and diversity which creates authenticity rituals and knowledge to my role as a celebrant.
He tangata he tangata he tangata. It is the people the people, the people!
I love traveling and meeting new people and learning about their stories, which inspires my work as a celebrant. I have been inspired to become a celebrant as I am a firm believer that a love story should be celebrated with a ceremony.
I have been married to the love of my life for 33 years, and feel very fortunate, with two adult children. Our eldest has recently married which encouraged me to attend to my dream of becoming a celebrant. My family and friends describe me as brave, determined, vibrant, organised, passionate, and professional!
My other passion in life is all the pretty things, let’s face it, who doesn’t love getting dressed up and celebrating!
E iti noa ana, nā te aroha Although it is small, it is given with love
